The Powhatan Chapter of the
Virginia Society for Human Life was chartered in
2004 with the intention of serving Powhatan,
Goochland, Amelia and Cumberland. We are a
non-profit organization that addresses the pro-life
issues surrounding abortion, infanticide, euthanasia
and stem cell research. Our purpose is to promote
the sanctity of human life from conception until
natural death through education, legislation, and
community outreach.
This Chapter was founded on
the belief that human life, at every stage of
development, is sacred and deserves respect and
legal protection. The members of this organization
are united by a common concern for the unborn, the
elderly, and the disabled. We believe that the
unborn child is uniquely human from the moment of
conception, and that the unborn child has an
inalienable right to life, which must be legally
protected
The Powhatan Chapter of the
Virginia Society for Human Life strives to
protect the rights of the unborn, the elderly, the
mentally handicapped, the disabled and the
terminally ill. We believe that the unborn child is
uniquely human from the moment of conception, and
that the unborn child has an inalienable right to
life, which should be legally protected. We believe
that the mother and family that finds themselves in
an unplanned or crises pregnancy deserve options
that choose life, including compassion and support.
